Our team has begun a 7-day detox/clean eating challenge and it started today. I seriously meant to get this blog post out before now, but I couldn’t get my act together. Coffee isn’t allowed on the detox and apparently I don’t function well without it. 😦
The basics of the detox are;
- No stimulants or depressants; (coffee or wine)
- No sugar in any form
- No dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc)
- No gluten (wheat, barley, rye, oats)
So as you can see, we aren’t allowed to have anything fun! 😉 Well that’s not completely true. Fruits, vegetables and lean proteins are really fun. The diet sounds strict but it will really teach us how to fuel our bodies the RIGHT way.
